If you’re thinking “this reviewer has gotten lazy,” you are absolutely correct! It’s not that I’ve gotten lazy; it’s just that I have to catch up on reviewing this drama. Even though I’m definitely caught up on it. And I’m anxiously waiting for the next episode RAW to come out. Besides, if I don’t catch up on this, I won’t finish all the episode reviews before it all ends. Now .. onto the reviews~!
Episode 06 Review
Last time on, Atashinchi no Danshi: Fuu kisses his “mama” on the cheek and declares that she is his new girlfriend! Well, as great as that would/should have sounded – Fuu actually wants Chisato to pretend to be his fiancee and help him dump his 27 girlfriends. Player hate! I know I do! And because of this, you constantly see Chisato get beat up by all his girlfriends (talk about evil). The truth is, Fuu only wanted to gain access to Chisato’s to search for the inheritance. Sho eventually figures this out and follows Fuu to Chisato’s room – BUT he ends up looking for the inheritance along with him! Greedy pigs! Well, Chisato eventually figures it out and confronts Fuu about it. They get into an argument about not knowing the real Shinzo. As the two grumble to themselves like little kids, Sho figures out how to find the inheritance. Eventually, the two come to an understanding (sort of) and they all look for the inheritance together. Turns out there’s a hidden room behind the fire place and they all go in only to find a robot called Miracle. It pops 6 scrolls with each brother’s name on each one. Chisato gets called out by her father that deserves a beating. Each of the guys read their own scrolls and it contains their secrets. Fuu’s secret gets outted and he’s actually Shinzo’s REAL SON! Dun dun dun!!
The best parts of this episode was not the main plot but the cute moments with Satoru & Masaru. Watch as they compete with one another for Chisato’s love! Too bad she doesn’t know it. Also, Hard Gay makes a guest appearance as a guy in love with Fuu. Weird? Yes. Funny? Yes. Random? HELL YEAH!
Episode 07 Review
So what does everyone do when they find out Fuu is Shinzo’s real son? Why, go about their own business naturally. Gee you’d think these guys would have been more shocked about it. But, seriously, who cares~! Well this episode focuses on Akira, who’s mother left him. It was a really heart-warming episode full of laughter and tears (not mine). The best part was watching everyone work together to help reunite the boy with his mother (who still didn’t want to take him back). How can you not want your own kid back!? Not just any kid, a kid with STOCKS!! Masaru’s life-threatening past gets revealed. Although, I think they should’ve elaborated more on his story in another episode instead of just sticking it as a side plot during Akira’s time to shine. This episode is filled with a lot of Chisato & Sho moments (not that I’m complaining, I’m actually ecstatic!). First you see them wandering around looking for Akira’s mom, then you see them outside .. alone .. just the two of them .. having a nice little chat with great eye flirting and cute laughter. How I wish for these two to end up together! But, this is a jdrama and I know very well that they stick to the genre of the drama (damn them!). And here’s the highlight of it all – Sho & Chisato accidentally kiss! Thanks to a sleep-walking Akira and butt-bumping by Kokudo. All is well with the world.
Now episode 8’s review will be jam-packed with flailing comments from yours truly because it is truly an epic episode in the history of all jdramas. I am seriously not kidding! Look forward to it and all my spazzing, if you don’t mind me spazzing that is x]
Rating: 15 out of 10
Thanks to that “accidental” kiss.
This has been a really quick Haejin review.
