Episode 04 Review
So at the end of the last episode, Chisato is told that she has to return the 100 million yen asap. Well it turns out that the company is going “bankrupt.” Let me first say that, it takes a lot for a company to go belly up so it was a bit obvious that this was a lie. Of course, Chisato doesn’t know any better and believes him. BUT, that’s not the focus of this episode. The main issue here is that Sho’s son, Riki, has gone missing! Looks like he’s been abducted by aliens and they have taken him back to their planet on their mothership. Totally kidding (no duh!). Actually, he wasn’t abducted but that’s what Sho & his ex-wife, Saki, are led to believe. Instead, Riki wants his parents to reunite by sending them on a wild goose chase involving picture taking, karaoke, and ping pong. And guess who’s the mastermind behind this plan? That’s right – the awesome Chisato. Soon, the rest of the family (excluding Fuu) get involved with helping the little guy. First it was Akira, then Satoru, next Masaru, and finally Takeru. Anyway, as Sho and Saki are sent on their “hunt,” Saki tells him the truth behind why Shinzo said those harsh words to Sho and that Shinzo had been giving them money the whole time. Shinzo sure likes to keep secrets. When they finally find Riki (Sho figured out that it was all planned thanks to Kokudo & Heiji), he’s at the Trick Heart Castle. And during this emotional reunion, Takeru & Satoru come wheeling in filming the moment. Why? Because it was all part of the “plan,” which is the solution to Miracle’s bankruptcy.
See, Chisato has come up with a “Family Hunt” attraction. This attraction is to create a fun environment for families by putting them through different trials and tasks. Kind of ingenius actually. I wouldn’t mind going to this theme park. Well, all is revealed at a conference that shows a VTR of the future attraction. And Sho is kind of shocked at what he sees. After that, Chisato hands him the “treasure” chest from the last episode (this is where more eye flirting from the two comes in – and I totally don’t mind one bit ^.^) Sho gives Riki the chest full of toys and tells him that he should live with Saki instead. They cry as everyone watches them. As the Ohkura family heads home, Sho states that he’ll move back into the Trick Heart Castle. Meanwhile, Tokita & Kyoko are talking about how Tokita lied about the company going bankrupt. Back at home, they see Fuu sitting in the living room (yes, this is the VERY first time he meets his new “mother”). He then spills the beans about her being their mother for money. Talk about evil! The guy barely comes home and he ruins the nice family moment -__-; Someone please hit the guy. Well that’s where the episode ends.
Some side scenes that I find highly amusing: Takeru decides to be a musician and makes his own song that only consist of two words – hyokkori & hyotan jima. This is so hilarious! Also, Satoru & Masaru’s developing feelings for Chisato is funny to watch. Masaru is more of the worry-wart and Satoru is the raging-jealous type. And the best part of all – Shinzo’s automatic butt wiper! The most random invention to date.
