Episode 02 Review

So leaving off from episode 1, Chisato storms out of the Trick Heart Castle. She then heads to the net cafe, only to be taken to Miracle’s headquarters by Tokita. There, he announces to the board members that she is the new acting president. After the refusals of the board members, Tokita says that he is willing to take full responsibility and the scene cuts to the lab. Chisato tells him that she refuses to be the acting president and that it’s not written in the contract. We all know what happens when the subject of the contract is brought up~ yep, Kyoko the lawyer appears with the contract in her hand and shows Chisato that it is written there. She heads back to the castle only to be welcomed home by Sho. There he agrees to help her with the “mother goals” and in return he wants money/the inheritance. Meanwhile, we see Satoru slowly coming out of his room (and he has a cold) and Masaru at a photoshoot where his manager informs him that he has to do another shoot with a female gravure idol. Usually that would be good news to any normal guy, but not Masaru – who may I remind you, has this enormous fear of women. OH THE HORROR! As Masaru worries, we see Akira being picked on by some kids and Takeru chasing them away.

So how does Sho plan on gathering everyone to eat a meal together? Simple, glue their butts to the seats! Sho accidentally sits in a chair that Chisato had put glue on and out breaks an argument (again) between him and Takeru. This is one of the most hilarious scenes ranging from chairs falling over and someone’s face landing in cake. Chisato gets tired of all the madness and tells everyone to leave, realizing too late that leaving is bad. Kyoko then tells Chisato why all the sons were adopted and that none of them were “fit” to inherit the company. Next we see Takeru making a delivery and they tell him that it’s the last month they are able to employ him. So he goes to the host club Sho works at and gets a job there to prove that he is better than Sho.

At the park, Chisato is fixing her cardboard shack with Shinzo’s High Power Glue (which is what Sho & her used to glue everyone’s butt to the chairs). She has a flashback about her and Shinzo, then the same punks who were messing around with Akira decide to throw firecrackers at her “house.” And here comes Takeru to the rescue! .. again. They start having a conversation; actually he’s doing all the talking and she just sticks her hand out to give him a thumbs up. Chisato returns to the castle only to be faced by Inoue & 6 frames. What are these frames? Why they are #2 on her “mother goals” list – to get each son’s handprint. First she tries to get Akira’s handprint (who just happened to walk by), next she tries to get Satoru’s (who’s hauled up in his room again due to his cold), and at last she manages to catch Masaru in a trap involving a banana. You do the math. In the living room, Masaru tells Satoru & Chisato whats bothering him (the photoshoot he has to do) and she suggests that he destroys the studio it’s being held at.

The schemers (Tokita and Kyoko) are in Shinzo’s lab discussing Chisato & the inheritance. And let’s face it, we all know that one or both of them are up to no good. At the host club, Takeru is chatting up Sho’s client and Sho is thoroughly annoyed. At the net cafe, Chisato’s bodyguards are giving her information about Sho and tells her the place they’ve seen him at .. a daycare center. This could be his reason for always needing money. Meanwhile, Takeru is with Sho’s client and sees Sho heading somewhere so he follows him and bumps into Chisato. They spy on Sho and find out that he has a son! Such a cute kid too x]  They all head to the castle and have a short conversation in the living room. As Takeru is cleaning the club, he gets abducted by yakuzas. Turns out the client he was with is the girlfriend of a yakuza boss. Chisato goes to the club to speak to Sho and he tells her what happened to Takeru. In attempt to rescue Takeru, both of them get held captive as well and are taken to some abandoned warehouse. And guess who manages to save them .. unintentionally. Masaru! Well actually he was there to destroy the studio.. with a knife (yeah doesn’t make much sense to me either). So they manage to escape and thanks to Akira, the police came. On the way back home, Chisato glues Sho and Takeru’s hands together. As they are struggling with their glued hands, they have a heart-to-heart -ish talk about why Sho left home and stuff. Their hands become unglued thanks to them accidentally spilling soda on their hands. I should try that someday, see if soda really does unbind super glue. They both return home (remember Sho doesn’t live in the castle) and Chisato sees Takeru eating her miso soup; he also hung his handprint on the wall. Then there’s a call from the police saying they have Masaru in custody …

And that concludes episode 2! Full of cute moments and funny scenes.
